That's Totally 80's!!!

It's kindness week and we've been rocking out the 80th day of school 80's style all day long! A few of our littles wanted to jump in the pic too! 



Rotation and Revolution!

As we study objects in the sky we have had a lot of discussion about day and night and the seasons! Our classes put together these crafts to show and explore the Earth's rotation and revolution around the sun, as well as the moons revolution around the Earth!

A Little Spot of Kindness!

This week our entire district is participating in the great kindness challenge! We introduced the kids to the read a loud, A Little Spot of Kindness, and gave each kiddo their own spot to remind them and to challenged them to complete small acts of kindness throughout the day and week to create a kind community on our campus! Calling All Inventors!

Today in our inventors unit we learned all about Alexander Graham Bell. The kids loved playing telephone and then making these telephones of their own and relaying messages to each other from across the room. 





When Learning Takes Flight!

To commemorate the Wright Brother's first flight and perseverance as early inventor's we had a paper airplane S.T.E.M. challenge in which students were to build a paper airplane that would fly the farthest! We then went outside to test our planes and see who the victor would be!

Doubles Rap Coming at Ya!

We are learning addition strategies and decided to spice things up with a doubles rap! We made a poster  to use in class and sent home doubles facts flash cards to study as well as the rap! Then and Now (Past, Present, and Future)
